this episode was really good, but the show needed to end. it has been meandering and ridiculous since the
start of the fourth season.

i agree. it seemed as if the writers got really lazy. it's too bad, this show had lots of potential to continue
for many more seasons.

i found leverage to be one of the best series around, no it had not gotten lazy and ridiculous.

it hadn't gotten ridiculous? are you kidding me? from the second they "stole a mountain" in s04e01, the
series was pretty much exclusively ridiculous. i also never said lazy, i said meandering. there was some
semblance of a plot in the first three seasons, but season four and five became, "what is the most lavish,
multi-step, and convoluted con we can pull?" i swear some of the episodes were only filmed so the
characters could say, "we're going to steal a (insert the most ridiculous thing they could ever say here)."
season five gets a pass only because this finale episode
SPOILER ALERT - (highlight to read)

explains why they moved to portland for the fifth season. before that explanation, the fifth season was just
as inane as the fourth.

i can't believe that leverage has been with me for nearly 5 years.

once a show gets going for more than one season the pressure mounts to out do themselves the
following year.

each year that gets harder and harder to achieve.

a prime example of this is dr who, which quite frankly, its getting beyond stupid, with plot holes
you can drive buses through.

writers and producers try to out clever themselves.

SPOILER ALERT - (highlight to read)

for example was anything resolved about the doctor needing the medicine from the start of the show??

maybe i've been watching too much tv but for a while now i get very bored with the whole "start the
episode at the end of the episode".

seriously it's been done to death.

the characters kept bringing me back to leverage tho.

r.i.p. leverage. i'll buy you on blu-ray when/if they ever release them.

many thanks to eztv for keeping my leverage needs filled for the last 5 years.

i guess they thought they were continuing since they say "season finale" and not "series
finale".

this was quite sudden news.

i don't think it was that sudden. the episode names have been on their wikipedia page since the beginning
of season five, and this last episode was called "the long goodbye job."
